A stylish &
affluent audience
There are currently 135,940 workers within half a kilometre, with an average retail expenditure that’s almost 50% higher than the UK norm. Worker densities along some parts of Tottenham Court Road currently exceed 225,000 workers per square mile, with a total footfall in 2014 of 18.4 million. In addition, the same area is home to 25,000 residents with an expected population rise of 7.3% over the next five years. For retailers, this means a captive seven day trade.
A youthful academic population of over 160,000 students ensures there’s a higher percentage of people aged between 15 and 34 in the area than anywhere else in the UK.
*Retail turnover to the region is set to increase to £11.25 billion by 2020 (from £8.8 billion currently) and the area west of Oxford Circus, in close proximity to Bond Street and near Tottenham Court Road will see the largest gains.
